Report Overview
Daily Sales Reports provide a comprehensive snapshot of your store's performance for any day. Run these reports at closing time to track sales, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
What's Included
- Payment Method Breakdown: Sales by credit, debit, cash, check, gift card, in-house, layaway
- Hourly Sales Analysis: Sales by hour with visual charts
- Top Selling Products: Best sellers ranked by revenue and quantity
- Employee Performance: Sales per employee with transaction counts
- Category Performance: Sales breakdown by product category
Generating Reports
Daily Report (End of Day)
- Go to /reports/daily-sales
- Report auto-loads for today's date
- Review all sections (payment methods, hourly, top products, employees, categories)
- Click "Export to CSV" to save for records
- Print report for physical files (optional)
Historical Reports
- Click date picker at top of page
- Select any past date
- Report regenerates for selected date
- Compare week-over-week or month-over-month trends
